The Middle Ocoee is available on Saturdays and Sundays in April, May, September, and October, and every day except Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Middle Ocoee Whitewater Trips started in the late 1970’s when the TVA Flume Line became unable to carry water to generate power. The water was diverted back into the river bed, creating a new whitewater adventure. This section of river is now the most popular whitewater adventure in the nation!
On this trip, you’ll experience 5 miles of continuous class III and IV whitewater with over 17 major rapids. This section provides warm summer water with large waves, challenging rapids, beautiful mountains and endless fun. Exciting whitewater flows through a deep gorge in the National Forest, dropping 56 feet per mile. Each season, thousands of families, groups, youth outings and corporate trips all come to the small community of Ocoee Tennessee to experience a Middle Ocoee River Whitewater Rafting Trip.

Rafting trips on the Middle Ocoee River for 2025 are scheduled throughout the year, with trips available on weekends starting in March. In March, trips begin on the 22nd, and continue on weekends through the end of the month. April trips are available on weekends as well, from the 5th to the 27th. In May, trips are scheduled on weekends and a few weekdays, running from the 3rd to the 31st. June offers a broader range of dates, including weekends and weekdays, from the 1st to the 30th. July features trips throughout the month, including several weekend options and a few weekdays. In August, trips are available from the 1st to the 31st, primarily on weekends. September’s rafting dates span weekends from the 1st to the 30th, and October offers weekend trips from the 1st to the 26th.

Middle Ocoee River Trip Information
No experience is necessary for this world-class adventure, as each raft is accompanied by a trained and experienced guide. Trips are available weekends during the spring and fall and Thursday through Monday in June, July and August. No trips are available Tuesdays or Wednesdays as there is not a water release from the dam upstream. Plan to spend 4 hours with Quest Expeditions for your Middle Ocoee Whitewater Rafting adventure. Morning and afternoon trips are scheduled most days. Quest Expeditions is conveniently located on Highway 64 in Ocoee, Tennessee, just minutes east of I-75. No experience is necessary! You must be 12 years of age and fit into our equipment, including our life jacket with a 56 inch chest.

Group rates are for parties of 8 or more and reservations and payment are made by one person. Rates above do not include the 10% Tennessee State Access and Management fee.
