Safety is a priority at Quest Expeditions from the time you arrive to your trip home. Our goal is to provide you a safe and enjoyable outdoor adventure. Fun is certainly high on the agenda, but safety is number one. However, whitewater rafting can be physically demanding and involves inherent risks and danger beyond our control. The Ocoee River is a class III+ adventure, which is considered on the middle to upper scale of difficulty. No experience is required, participants should be able to paddle a few minutes at a time over a 2 hour period. You should be in good health and comfortable in moving water, walking on uneven terrain and being splashed from waves.
A rafting guide will accompany you on your adventure to help keep you safe. All guides go through an extensive on and off river training program. All are trained in First Aid, CPR and Swiftwater Rescue, many have advanced training. You will receive a safety orientation, instructions and what to do if you were to fall out of the raft.
For your convenience, please plan to arrive on time for your schedule trip. This allows you time to ask questions, sign waivers, change clothes and relax before starting your trip. All participants must sign a release form. Rafters under 18 need a parent or guardian to co-sign the form. We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any reason we consider a safety concern. Participants must fit into our equipment, that includes our lifejacket (PFD) that fits up to a 56-inch chest. Participants must be 12 years of age. Those that are pregnant should not participate in a whitewater rafting trip. Learn more about our Ocoee River Trips.
