Here are 5 reasons why you should go rafting on the Ocoee River and take our Full River Trip!
1. One Full Day of Activity
The length of our Full River Trip is 7 hours. You will raft 10 miles through the Upper and Middle parts of the Ocoee River. Our attraction will give you a full day of action packed activities, so it’s one less day of your vacation where you will have to plan out little things and be at many different places. You don’t even have to worry about food as the Full River Trip includes a picnic lunch right on the river!
2. Team Building
Going rafting in the Ocoee River during our Full River Trip will strengthen the bond between you and the people you are vacationing with. Everyone has a paddle and they all have a role in keeping the raft afloat. Even if you are vacationing alone, you may experience some newfound friendships with the people on your raft!
3. Feel Like a Champion
Did you know that part of the Ocoee River is an Olympic competition course? It is called the Ocoee Whitewater Competition Course, and it is located in the Upper Ocoee River area. During its construction, engineers narrowed part of the riverbed. The width was significantly decreased as it went from 200 feet to 70 feet. This change constricts the water’s path and allows it to increase in both speed and power. You will get to raft on this course as part of our Full River Trip. You will be able to brag to all your friends back home about having been through an Olympic course! Additionally, while you are in the Upper Ocoee area, you will ride on its most famous rapid called Humongous. If the conditions are anything like the name, this part of the trip will be a big feat for you and your rafting team. By the end of the day, not only will you feel like a champion, you’ll sleep like one too!
4. Swimming
During the Full River Trip, you will get the chance to take a little break from rafting and cool off in the water. It’s a nice opportunity to relax before you have to battle more rapids. You might catch a glimpse of some of the plants and animals that call the Ocoee River home!
5. Water Roller Coaster
The rapids on the Ocoee River act as a natural roller coaster. The dips and fast speed of the water are sure to give the adrenaline rush of your favorite amusement park ride. Watch out though! You might be the victim of a huge splash of cold river water.
