Top 4 Tips on Making Your Ocoee White Water Rafting Reservations
When planning your white water rafting adventures on the Ocoee River, make your reservations as soon as possible to guarantee your spot! Our rafting trips have been called “the nation’s most popular”, and you’ll see why when you’re navigating through 5 miles of thrilling class III and IV rapids! Don’t miss out on your opportunity to join our professional guides for an unforgettable trip through a spectacular gorge in the Cherokee National Forest! Here are the top 4 tips on making your Ocoee white water rafting reservations:
1. Book Early for the Best Availability
You’ll want to book your Ocoee white water rafting reservations early to take advantage of the best availability! This is especially important when planning your trip on a summer weekend and other peak periods throughout the season! Our rafting trips run on weekends in April and May, but then we raft 5 days a week (Thursday through Monday) from Memorial Day to Labor Day. At that point, we go back to weekend only trips through the fall!
2. Make a Single Reservation for Your Entire Party
Most folks naturally want to make sure that they are seated together in a raft so that they can enjoy the rafting experience as a group! The best way to ensure that this happens is to make reservations for your entire party under one name. Just keep in mind that we place up to 6 guests and 1 guide in each of our rafts. If your reservation is for more than 6 people, we’ll fill one raft and then the rest of your party will go into another raft.
3. Take Advantage of Special Group Rates
Our Ocoee white water rafting trips are perfect for scout trips, church retreats, family reunions, and more! As a bonus, you can take advantage of special group rates if you are booking a trip with at least 8 people! These reduced group rates are available when making your reservation and you’ll see that the savings really add up! This gives you more money to spend on other areas of your trip, including travel expenses, souvenirs from our gift shop, and more!
4. Confirm That All Your Family and Friends Can Participate
Another tip for your Ocoee white water rafting reservations is to confirm that all of your family and friends can participate! The good news is that nearly everyone can go whitewater rafting because no experience is necessary! We just ask that participants be in good health since you’ll be paddling down the river with your fellow rafters! Also, please note that Tennessee state law requires that guests must be at least 12 years of age to go rafting on the Ocoee River. All minors are required to have a signature on the waiver from a parent or legal guardian signifying that he/she is of the proper age.
