It’s never too early to start planning your next Ocoee River rafting trip! You can get a head start on planning a vacation or a fun activity for your family and friends, and when you start looking into a trip this early, you’ll probably get the trip you want during the time period you want! Check out these 4 ways to prepare months in advance for Ocoee River rafting:
1. Pick the Perfect Season
Our rafting season runs from April to October, which means you could go rafting in the spring, summer, or beginning of fall. You have plenty of options, and since you’re getting a head start on the planning, you’ll be able to choose whichever season you’re thinking about! White water rafting is a great activity to do during a spring break trip. When the kids are off from school during the summer, take a few days and plan to do something exciting with them! If you want to get away during the fall break, you can always plan ahead! You’ll enjoy being able to pick which season works best for the trip you want to plan!
2. Choose a Trip
After you decide when you want to go Ocoee River rafting, you need to choose which trip you want to go on. At our outpost, we offer three different kinds of trips. The Middle River Rafting Trip provides 5 miles of continuous class III and IV whitewater rapids, and it includes over 17 major rapids. For a more challenging experience, you could always choose to do the Upper River Rafting Trip. This trip takes guests along the 1996 Olympic Whitewater Competition Course, an exciting part of the river that becomes narrower with classic drops and big water rapids. You’ll also get to experience the Upper section’s most famous rapid, Humongous. If you want to plan to be out on the water all day, you could book the Full Day Ocoee River Whitewater Rafting Trip. You’ll get to raft down the full 10-mile run through the middle river and upper river sections. After the upper section, you’ll take a break and have a picnic lunch, then head back out on the water to finish your excursion!
3. Make a Reservation
One of the best ways to ensure you get the spot and the rafting trip you want is to make a reservation. Reservations ensure your large group or a weekend trip is set in stone so you don’t have to worry about missing out on an adventure you’ve been waiting months to do!
